Salsa Dancing Classes and Freestyle

Do I need to come with a partner

You do not have to come with a partner (unless you want to). Many people come on their own especially for the first time. Classes are structured in so manner that everybody changes dancing partners.

Do I need to book
No, you do not need to book. Simply turn up and pay at the door, then, join your chosen class/level.

Can I come any week
Yes, you can join any of the classes/levels any week.

Do I have to join a course
No, we do not run any course. You join any of the three classes/levels you like, stay there as long you like and move on to the higher class/ level when feeling right. Consult an instructors to choose the level.

What Clothes and Shoes to wear
Day-to-day Clothes and Shoes you are confortable in;  shoes with flat soles will help, however!           Some Tips on what to wear

How much does it cost to join the class

Each weekday evening at any venue (1 class or 2 classes) £5 only.  The price include free entry to freestyle dancing after classes.  Membership £1 per year (covers all operating venues - current and future)

How long is the class
Each Salsa class/level runs for 1 hour.

What if I can not come every week
Coming to the classes regularly will enhance your dancing ability fast. However, if you can not come every week or if you take a break for a while, join the class whenever and you will soon pick up the forgotten moves.  Every so often, instructors repeat the previously shown moves.

What is the age group
16 or over;  age range spreads right accross the board, excellent mix.

Can I bring children

In certain venues may be - please call us!

Do I have to stay until the end

No, you do not have to. After a class, you may leave or stay on for freestyle dancing, practising, drinking, socialising, etc.  Freestyle will enhance your dancing standard considerably faster.

How long it takes to be a good dancer

Everyone takes different time scale. Learners are encouraged to practise freestyle dancing (following a class) which rapidly boosts their moving skills.

Can I come just to watch the class

Free onlookers are not allowed.  However, if you pay the usual entry fee, we may not object providing you remain undisturbing.

I have never done it (or any dance) before

There are beginners' classes for absolute/fresh beginners every week in all our venues with the UKA diploma qualified instructors.  Even if you have two left feet, we shall treat them all right (for no extra charge).

I do not know anybody there

While many regular learners bring their friends and family members, many people come on their own for the very first time.  The very nature of our classes helps everybody to get to know one another quickly. The general atmosphere in our Salsa evenings are welcoming and friendly. Instructors are always around for a chat.

What if I need extra help or information
